The “Doc” Team Member

Doc 197x300 The Doc Team MemberWhen there's an important decision to be made, Doc is usually the one to make it.  Like when it had to be decided where would sleep.

Doc:  The, uh, Princess will sleep in our beds upstairs.
Snow White: But, where will you sleep?
Doc: Oh, we'll be quite comfortable down here, in, uh, in, uh...
Grumpy: In a pig's eye!
Doc:...in a pig's eye - sty - No!  No! I mean... We'll be comfortable, won't we, men?

Doc has a hard time making a clear statement but he does get to the point.  When returning home to find the cottage mysteriously tidied up, he tells the others: "Search every cook an' nanny, uh, hook an' granny, uh, crooked fan -- uh, search everywhere."

Doc's mind often works faster than his mouth.  This usually happens with a creative team member.  This is one of the reasons it is a good idea to have a “Grumpy” around.  Grumps will demand for clarification.

Doc was easily excited, but his judgment's were always sound.

Doc takes it upon himself to convince his fellows that the hardships they must endure in allowing Snow White to stay are worth it -- even that strange custom of washing up before dinner.  And only he knows how to get that "old warthog" Grumpy into the wash trough.

Doc is a great team . Even when the dwarfs are coming into the cottage for the first time and finding Snow White Doc is the encourager of the team:

Doc: [as Dopey hesitantly sneaks up to their room where Snow White is sleeping] Don't be afraid. We're right behind you.

himself doesn't know how wise he is.  One day as the dwarfs leave for the mine Doc takes time and warns Snow White, "Now don't forget, my dear, the old Queen's a sly one, full of witchcraft. So beware of strangers."

Every team needs a Doc.  This is someone to support, encourage and lead the way.
